But that proved impossible. Because Logan Guillory had infiltrated his house a little at a time, until she’d left her imprint on every corner of it. Well, every corner except the one that housed his bedroom. Fuck, if she’d entered his room for anything… He shook his head, banishing all thoughts of what she’d look like on his bed, her golden-blonde hair spilling across the pillows, her curves cushioned by his mattress.

Goddamn, but he had it bad. For his brother’s woman. A woman who shone with sweetness and love for J.B. Every time Ant saw her watching his brother her eyes sparkled and her face glowed with it. If she looked at Ant that glow dimmed and she eyed him the way a rabbit would a hawk. Scared to move in case she caught the predator’s notice and he tried to catch her.

An ironic smile pulled at his mouth, because God knew it wasn’t far off the mark. He’d had his sights on her for years, long before J.B. pulled his head out of his ass about Emily. Stopping at Guillory’s had been the highlight of his week, because it meant seeing Logan, teasing her until her cheeks bloomed with color and her eyes sparked with outrage. It never failed to turn him on, giving him a glimpse of what it’d be like to see her basking in the afterglow of an orgasm he’d given her.

He’d waited too long to make his move, to put his stamp on her, waiting for her to come to him the way other women did. Ant had never been the one to chase, never had any need. If J.B. hadn’t been tied in knots over Emily by the time he was sixteen, they would’ve run roughshod over the female population of St. Martin Parish. As it was, Ant had been a solo act for so long, women coming to him without him even trying, he’d thought Logan would be the same way. Except his brother wised up, realized Emily was a bitch, dropped her and asked Logan out.

His fingers clenched on the edge of the counter until his knuckles turned white. Now Logan was in and out of his house, her flowery perfume soaked into nearly every inch of it, and Ant was spending more and more time sleeping in his truck so he wouldn’t have to listen to J.B. fucking her. Hear her soft cries, her gasps, or the headboard banging on the wall as his twin rode the woman he wanted to orgasm.

Talk about hell on fucking earth. Ant was living it and it was his own fault. His mom had told him time and time again that he needed to stop being lazy when it came to matters of the heart. She’d told him a good woman wouldn’t chase after him, but he’d been cocky and overconfident. And he’d lost Logan because of it. And now he was going to lose J.B. as well, because he couldn’t take this shit anymore.

Ant ran a hand through his hair and pushed away from the counter to pour himself a cup of coffee. He’d just leaned his hips against the kitchen table when Logan stepped in, her face glowing with humor and love, her hair wet and slicked back. She’d changed out of her tight jeans and baggy t-shirt into a pair of slim slacks and a blouse that accentuated her full breasts and nipped-in waist. Her brown eyes had been sparkling when she walked into the room, but the minute Ant turned to look at her the spark faded and wariness took its place.

Goddammit. He almost growled at her, almost snarled like a rabid dog, holding onto the sound only because he didn’t want to scare her even more. Instead he turned away from her and sipped his coffee, his gaze on the acres of sugarcane fields outside the window. The Calhouns had one of the last family-owned and operated sugarcane plantations in the state. It was a great legacy to pass along, just like the Guillory’s store. Sugar Downs and Guillory’s were cornerstones of St. Martin Parish and one day, if things went the way Ant suspected they would, both businesses would belong to Logan and J.B.’s kids.

His heart ached at the thought. Not about losing his family’s inheritance, because he’d always be a part of that, as would any kids he’d have. No, his heart ached because Logan’s kids would be from J.B., not him. Never him. It was a bitter fucking pill to swallow for a man who’d spent his whole life going after everything he wanted, except when it mattered the most.

“I thought you were makin’ breakfast,” his brother said, as he entered the kitchen behind Logan, patting her ass to get her moving. Ant could see their reflection in the window and it was almost like seeing himself with her, his twin a decent stand-in. But it wasn’t the same. “I gotta drive Logan to work and then I’m going to Cobb’s place to pick up those parts we ordered last week.”

Ant tracked Logan as she moved to the coffeepot, the way she leaned into J.B.’s side, the soft smile she tilted at his brother. Beautiful. Not in-your-face beautiful, the way some of the women Ant had been with were, but gorgeous in her own right. All that hair, thick and golden when it was dry, made him want to bury his hands in it and hold tight as he fucked her hard and fast. She was round and soft, her tits full, her ass more than a handful. Her sister Devon was considered the beauty of the family, and had the pageant titles to prove it, but Ant would pick Logan over the skinnier Devon every fucking day of the week.

He sipped his coffee and lowered the mug before turning back around. “You’re also supposed to go to Lafayette this afternoon to meet with Pollock about the land we’re thinkin’ about buyin’,” he reminded J.B., even though he suspected his brother had already made plans with Logan.

“Shit.” J.B.’s growl was frustration and regret, his face showing both as he looked at his woman. “I forgot. And Pollock’s gonna want to bullshit, which could take hours. I’m sorry, baby.”

Yeah, J.B. was fucking gone for Logan. He’d always called Emily “dear” or “darling”, like some pansy-ass. But it only showed what J.B.’d had with his wife was more habit from being together so long than the kind of love he had for Logan. He’d tried to be what Emily wanted, changing himself for her and becoming more like a stranger and less like the brother Ant had known, until J.B. finally realized what his wife was doing to him. Thank god that shit was over and he had a woman who was sweet to him, good and understanding.

Of course she smiled at him lovingly, and that ache set up in Ant’s chest again. “That’s okay. I’ll just bunk at home tonight in case you don’t get back in time, or you can just meet me there when you’re done.” Completely unlike Emily, who would have raged to have her plans altered, Logan accepted it and rearranged her own schedule.

But J.B. was already shaking his head. “Hell no, just come by here when you’re done, even if I’m not back yet. I want you in my bed tonight.” J.B. dipped his head to whisper in her ear, “Not missin’ the results of a Guillory girls’ night out.” Logan laughed softly, a sound J.B. echoed, the intimacy hard for Ant to bear. Then J.B, glanced at Ant. “You don’t mind, do you?”

Yes he fucking minded. Being alone in the house with Logan… It would be like holding a bottle of water over a man dying of thirst. The temptation would be impossible to resist, but he’d have to. So, like a stupid fucker, a glutton for punishment, he nodded and did his best to ignore the way Logan’s face pinched with uncertainty. It might be easy to resist her if she kept looking at him as though she hated him. Yeah, that’d do the trick.

So he did what he always did when he was trying to remind himself she wasn’t for him. He teased her. “I’ll have the camera ready for blackmail pictures,” he drawled, his heart twitching at the tide of color that rose to her cheeks. Yeah, he knew what happened when the Guillory girls had their nights out.

Fuck, just last month he’d dragged into the house right before dawn, thinking Logan and J.B. would be sleeping, but he’d heard her moaning, panting, begging J.B. to fuck her. Guilt had held him in place for a few seconds before an irresistible urge tugged him down the hall to his brother’s room. The room with the door cracked open. He’d tried to stop himself from looking, from peeking into his brother’s intimate moment, but wild dogs and the hounds of hell couldn’t have scared him away.

Especially when he caught a glimpse of Logan sprawled on the bed, hands gripping the bars of the headboard, legs spread wide as J.B. ate her sweet pussy. She’d twisted and writhed on the bed, her face flushed with arousal, eyes squeezed shut as she soaked in all that pleasure. She was a pale gold all ove
r, her heavy breasts tipped with pale pink nipples he wanted to taste. He’d watched, unable to tear his gaze away, as J.B. shifted on the bed and he’d caught a glimpse of her cunt, all slick with her juices and flushed bright pink with arousal.

Only J.B. moving up to notch himself at her weeping sex had broken the spell Ant was under and he’d nearly run to his room. Nearly because running with an erection trapped by denim wasn’t exactly comfortable. He’d thrown himself in the shower so he wouldn’t be able to hear them, hear J.B. make Logan come, and he’d jacked off at the thought of being inside her, where his brother was.

“No pictures,” J.B. growled, bringing Ant to the present and splashing some ice cold reality on him at the same time.

Ant pretended to pout and shifted around the peninsula in the kitchen to hide his erection. “Guess it’ll have to be video then,” he said, with a playful wink at the woman who haunted his dreams. “Don’t worry, I’m a good shot. I’ll be sure to get your good side while you’re heaving in the toilet.”

“Ant,” J.B. warned, although his eyes twinkled with mirth. Mirth he hid as he kissed Logan’s temple. “He’s just pickin’. You know he’d never do anything to embarrass you.”

No, no he’d never do anything to hurt or embarrass Logan. He’d never do anything to Logan, unfortunately. Absolutely nothing—which was what he’d ended up with—but he kept his painful thoughts from showing by rolling his eyes.

“Whatever,” he muttered, and turned away. “Gotta get out to the back forty today to check the irrigation system. Dad said one of the guys thought he saw some diseased cane.” He paused by the back door to look over his shoulder. J.B. and Logan stood together, arms around each other, and they looked so goddamn perfect together he knew he’d be seeing them like that for the rest of his life. “Have a good trip and talk with Pollock, bro.” He tipped his hat at Logan. “See y’all later, sweetcheeks.”

  Chapter Two

“God, how can you stand to be in the house with both of them at the same time?” Taylor asked, in a slurred voice that was a little too loud. “I’d have an orgasm every time one of them looked at me.” She paused thoughtfully. “I think I’m having an orgasm right now just thinking about it. Twins, Lo-Lo. Twin hotties in one house. With you. It’s like every woman’s fantasy come to life!”

Logan’s cheeks heated as she glanced around to make sure no one could hear them, thankful that Rockin’ Robbie’s lived up to its name with really loud music from the jukebox. Guillory girls’ night was a resounding success so far. Devon had taken some time to unwind after her visit with the doctor, but Edward was fine except for a small bruise, and now she was swaying in her chair as .38 Special played. Taylor had let her hair down the minute they parked their asses on the stools, ordering a shot.

She didn’t know what was going on with her sisters, because neither one of them would open up to talk, not even for Girls Night. But whatever it was, it wore on them. She almost wished they had done a quiet night instead of hit the bar, but even as she thought it Logan remembered she’d be at J.B.’s house alone. With Ant. It would be the first time they were in a house together without any buffers and she was scared shitless.

“I don’t know,” she muttered, after she gulped her margarita. Robbie’s didn’t do girlie drinks. There were no martinis or cosmopolitans crossing the scarred bar top, so a girl had to go with either light beer or margaritas. Logan had chose the latter, but it still didn’t feel strong enough to help her get through the night. “I don’t really see Ant much. He’s always out with one of his women.”

God, she tried to bite back the anger and jealousy that thought caused but she mustn’t have done a good job, because Devon stopped swaying and eyed her. “You don’t like Anthony?”

“Of course I do. He’s J.B.’s brother,” she protested.

“You just don’t like him goin’ out with other women,” Taylor guessed, showing wisdom that shouldn’t have survived three shots of tequila and four beers. “It’s like watchin’ J.B. go out with a different woman all the time.”

No, not really, but Logan shrugged all the same. She knew it wasn’t J.B., because the twins were not interchangeable. They were each their own man, unique in their own ways, and she wanted both of them.

“I need another drink,” she muttered. “Y’all good?”

Taylor held up her nearly empty bottle of beer while Devon shook her head. “I have to get up with Edward in the morning so Brady can go shoot skeet tomorrow,” she said, her gaze dipping to the table top.

Logan frowned at her sister, once again wondering what was going on with her. Devon had always been lean, taking more after their dad than their mom, but lately she seemed to be losing weight at an alarming rate. It made her appear fragile and lent her already gorgeous face an ethereal appearance that went hand in hand with her almost haunted expression. This was not the same girl Logan had grown up with, the one whose face had glowed with so much vitality it rivaled the sun in its brilliance. And she didn’t like it one bit. Unfortunately, she was a little too drunk to hold on to the thought for long, but she promised herself she’d call Devon to find out what was going on, and she wouldn’t stop asking until she got an answer.

The next round of drinks went down easier than the one before, and soon Logan was on the little patch of wood that was called the dance floor with Taylor and Devon. Her best friend Ava Boudreaux joined them later in the night, an honorary Guillory girl since she and Logan had been friends since they were in first grade. With the addition of Ava, the fun increased by leaps and bounds, as did the attention from some of the men. They danced and laughed, nearly falling as they tried to outdo each other, which was laughable on its own since they weren’t the best dancers. But it was fun and that’s just what Logan needed. Even Devon cracked out her signature smile, the one that had won numerous pageants and lit up a room, and it was good to see, easing Logan’s heart some.

They were taking a break between songs when Devon said, “It’s funny, you know? How many people have fallen in love or reconnected in the store.”

Taylor nodded enthusiastically and lifted her hand to drunkenly count. “Foster and Dahlia, Eli and Dixie and Logan and J.B.” She looked at her fingers. “We need more if we’re going to be the heartbeat of Grand Terre.”

Logan laughed at that, throwing a napkin at her sister. “Just as long as none of them have sex in the dressing room again.”

Ava sighed. “I really need to start working with y’all. Alfred & Sons is as boring as a morgue.”

“And the eye candy just as appealing,” Taylor piped up.

They all laughed because Ava’s bosses, a father and son law team, looked a lot like fish, but that never stopped Paul Alfred from trying to get into Ava’s pants every time he had a chance.

“God, I need to dance,” Ava grumbled, leaving the table and leading the way to the dance floor again.

Two o’clock came too soon, the house lights coming on with last call. Logan blinked at the brightness, then at her sisters, wondering if her makeup was as smeared as theirs was from laughing until they cried. Not that she cared. J.B. hadn’t called, which meant he was probably still in Lafayette with that prospective seller.

“My dad’s coming to pick us up, you want him to bring you to J.B.’s place?” Ava asked as she hooked her purse over her shoulder.

Logan grinned and opened her mouth to say yes, but suddenly Devon, Taylor and Ava looked above her head, their eyes wide. Then a big hand landed on Logan’s shoulder, electricity surging through her skin at the contact. J.B. had made it after all.

She spun on her stool, ready to greet her man, when she saw it was Ant. It was so unexpected she reared back and almost toppled off her stool, only his big hands sliding around her waist keeping her in place..

“Hold on there.” He calmed her in his deep baritone, so similar to J.B.’s, yet different. His smoky blue gaze trailed over her face, down her throat to the little black dress she’d worn for the night. It paused on he
r cleavage and her nipples swelled, heat gathering between her legs. “Damn girl, you look good enough to eat.”

An image, carnal and so wrong, of him planted between her legs, his mouth working her pussy while J.B. toyed with her nipples, burned into her brain. Dampness coated her thighs at the thought and she pressed them together, as the ache between them grew stronger. Drinking always made her horny and adventurous, something J.B. had figured out in their first couple of months together. Drinking and being horny and adventurous around Ant was not a good idea. At least that’s what part of her brain told her. Unfortunately good sense couldn’t share much space with all the margaritas she’d had.

“Hey handsome,” she purred, as she looked him up and down, practically eating him with her gaze.

And there was a lot of man to devour. Everything about him was so familiar, yet different, and she itched to explore him, to find out all the ways he was unlike J.B. and discover the ways he was similar. The blue plaid shirt he wore only partially tucked into his jeans strained at the seams, the V at the collar baring his tanned throat and part of his chest. Her mouth watered for a taste of that skin and she couldn’t help but wonder if it was as satiny smooth as J.B.’s. Unbidden, her gaze followed the row of buttons down to the fly of his jeans, which barely hid an impressive erection. Ant was packin’ heat.

“Rar,” Ava said into the heated silence that fell between Ant and Logan, drawing Logan’s attention to her friend, who watched Ant like a lioness staring at a gazelle. “Why haven’t you tried to hook us up yet, Lo-Lo?” She clicked her teeth together, the look in her eyes saying exactly what she’d do with Anthony if she could hook him.

Even knowing her friend was joking and drunk, Logan didn’t like Ava looking at him like that and almost growled. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his waist and tugged him against her, parting her legs to get him nice and close, the position screaming “mine” without using words. The best part about the move was it put his cock right up against the heated wetness of her pussy, and a bazillion nerves screamed for more.
